Mr. Gibbs has provided pro-bono legal services by helping on various Houston Bar Activities. He donates both time and resources to several non-profit organizations.
Robert W. Gibbs, Jr., supports the educational and literacy activities of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He is a founding member of the Corporate Development Committee and through his efforts several million dollars have been raised for scholarships in the Houston area. He has been appointed a Lifetime Committeeman.
He has served for many years as a board member of the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Gibbs is a life-long scout and he has earned the Eagle Scout Award which is the highest award given in scouting.
As a Rotarian, Mr. Gibbs participates in community activities sponsored by the Seabrook Rotary Club.
Mr. Gibbs is a Commissioner and Executive Board member of Keep Houston Beautiful. He works to promote cleaning up the environment and planting trees in the Houston Area.
He provides leadership on the advisory board of Christus Foundation. Also as a board member of the Healthy Houston Foundation he helps raise funding for community health clinics.
